William J. Schuyler, 65, of Lewisville, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 in I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born November 30, 1948 in Anderson, a son of the late William H. and Florence (Eutsler) Schuyler.
He worked at Pierce Auto in Anderson and Spiceland for 48 years. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his friends, raising pigs, and his best friend, his dog Romeo.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married June 1, 1968, Mary Schuyler of Lewisville; four children, William (Sherry) Schuyler of Straughn, Franklin Schuyler (fiancé, Amber Lucas) of New Castle, Brian (Julie) Schuyler of Spiceland, Donna Goertz (Robert Moore) of New Castle; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; seven sisters, Betty Moran, Diane Moreland, Virginia Taylor, Zelma Reynolds, Velma Graves, Meggy Stephens, Peggy Allen; two brothers, Harold Schuyler and John Schuyler; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Mary Massey, sister, Barbara Ann, and an infant brother, Eddie.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Hinsey- Funeral Service with Pastor Jerry Ingalls officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
