Wilma “Fay” Curtis, age 74, of Mooreland, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She was born November 23, 1939 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Lonus and Zelma Belle (Thomas) Barnett.
She was a 1957 graduate of Williamsburg High School in Williamsburg, Indiana. Fay loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed old cars including her 1929 Model A Ford, Mickey Mouse, and riding her golf cart. Fay was an avid Elvis Presley and Reba McEntire fan.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Jack R. Curtis of Mooreland; sons, Jim (Ruth) Curtis of Mooreland, Jerry Curtis of Mooreland and Jeff (Colleen) Curtis of New Castle; grandchildren, Jason (Meghan) Curtis of Muncie, John (Ely) Curtis of Columbus, OH and Jodi Curtis of New Castle; three siblings, Eva (Kenny) Crowe of Muncie, Jay (Louise) Barnett of OK and Jr. (Betty) Barnett of TN; sister-in-law, Jesse Barnett of KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Barnett and Gene Barnett; sisters, Ruth (Ted) Dickerson and Ida Barnett.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
