Wilma June Fairchild

Wilma June (Huffman) Fairchild, 86, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born July12, 1927 in Bentonville a daughter of Loyd and Cecil (Riggle) Huffman.
A 1946 graduate of Lewisville High School, she retired from Delco Remy, Anderson in 1981 after 30 years of service. She was an animal lover and enjoyed quilting and crafts. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Otis “Dave” Fairchild whom she married August 3, 1946; a brother: Harold “Dink” Huffman of New Castle; a sister: Catherine Watkins of IL; special friend: David (Cathy) Simpkins of New Castle and their sons: Seth and Kyle Simpkins; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Evelyn and Pauline; two brothers: Elbert and Eldon.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, August 5, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Bobby Slaggle officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 2-5 PM Sunday, August 4 2013 at the funeral home.
