Wilma Mae Selmeyer, 77, of New Castle passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Stonebrooke Rehab Center in New Castle. She was born January 12, 1939 in Clinton, Indiana, the daughter of the late Homer and Velma (Dalton) Carty.
Wilma was a 1958 graduate of Straughn High School and worked in many local restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with family. Wilma loved traveling to Gatlinburg and was an avid Dolly Parton fan.
Survivors include three children, Timothy (Amanda) Marlow of Anderson, Tina Selmeyer Humphries of Cynthiana, Kentucky and Mollie Selmeyer Troop of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Roy (Mildred) Carty of Van, Texas and Jim (Linda) Carty of Clermont; two nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Marlow.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Memorial Park in the Big Shelter House.
