Wilma C. Stanley, 92, of Knightstown, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Morristown Manor. She was born July 2, 1921 in Connersville the daughter of Otto and Laura (Leahigh) Dudley.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Knightstown and the St. Rose Altar Society. Wilma had volunteered at the Indiana Soldiers and Sailor's Children Home and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years: Max E. Stanley of Knightstown; two sons: Loren (Katherine) Stanley of Greenfield and Kenneth (Jean) Stanley of Rushville; a daughter: Marianne (Denny) Gergely of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Jack Dudley; two sisters: Phyllis Foster and Rita Cregar.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Knightstown with Father Jeremy Gries officiating and Deacon Russ Woodard assisting. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery in Connersville. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
