Zbignief John Fiega

Zbignief John Fiega, 61, of Knightstown passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at his home following a brief illness. He was born March 12, 1950 in Caracas, Venezuela the son of the late Jan and Cecylia Fiega.

He retired from Acrux Securities at Keihin in Greenfield. He previously worked at RCA/BMG in Indianapolis for over 35 years. He was a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church and was involved with the Knightstown Optimist Little League and Babe Ruth. He also served on the Knightstown Library Board for many years. His life revolved around his family. His hobbies included fly fishing, golf, and he was an avid cook.

Survivors include his wife: Diane (Sisson) Fiega, whom he married July 16, 1977; four sons: Chris (wife: Marie) Fiega of Indianapolis; Andrew Fiega of Carmel; Joseph Fiega of Indianapolis; Anthony Fiega of Knightstown. He was expecting his first grandchild later this year. He will also be missed by his chocolate Lab Moose.

Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Ken Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Thursday, March 31, 2011. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knightstown Food Pantry 27 S. Jefferson St. Knightstown, IN 46148.
